Bushi Bushi is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Texas. Every time I visit, the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the drive. The soup dumplings are incredible, the pork & shrimp shumai and har gow are always a must-order, and the pan-fried pork buns and scallion pancakes are some of the best I’ve had. Honestly, I’ve worked my way through a good portion of the menu, and I’ve yet to have something I didn’t love. I recommend Bushi Bushi to anyone and everyone looking for authentic, high-quality dim sum. It’s one of those places I find myself craving long after I leave. Now for my selfish request… please consider opening a location in Georgetown, TX! Georgetown is one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas, yet it’s a complete dim sum desert. There isn’t anywhere nearby to get authentic soup dumplings, shumai, har gow, or a true dim sum experience, so many of us drive 45 minutes to over an hour just to eat here. I genuinely believe a Georgetown location would be packed from day one. Until then, I’ll happily keep making the drive when in the DFW area. Thank you for bringing such amazing dim sum north Texas!

Delicious dim sum! We ordered about half of the dishes, all delicious! Sui mai were huge! They were out of cucumber salad when we went but other than that no complaints!

Oil dumplings and cucumber salad were delicious with the perfect amount of spice. I didn’t love the wagyu beef and broccoli — the beef was very soft, chewy, and had a slimy texture. Service was nice; you order from your phone and the server brings everything out, so there’s very little interaction. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, but I’d probably try a different entrée next time.

I was excited to try this restaurant last night (Wednesday at 6:30p) and when we got there with our group of 5, they acted like we were an inconvenience. The staff asked if we had a reservation and looked around at the mostly empty restaurant (multiple large tables available and only 3 tables sat in the whole restaurant) like they weren’t sure what to do with us. I’d like to note that there were multiple large tables available that were never sat but they pushed some together for us. That was odd but we proceed forward despite wondering if we should go elsewhere. Milk Tea- tasted like black tea with milk and not at all what I was expecting… would not order again. Pork Soup Dumplings- we’re good but I have had better as the seasoning was off. Truffle and Pork soup dumplings- my favorite and I could have done 3 plates myself. Bok Choy- very good if you like the vegetable. Broccoli- tasty and you can pick if you like the stock or leaf better. Spicy Sichuan Friends Rice- flavorful but not spicy at all… was let down a smidge. Flat noodle dish (can’t remember the name)- okay and others liked it but I would not order it again. TL;DR good for FRESH made to order dim sum / traditional Cantonese dishes. Ordering the correct dishes is important, and you’ll be rewarded with fresher items than other dim sum places Fast service and attentive about water. Good space to move around, not tight. Darker lighting than average restaurant. Roast duck Cantonese style. More tender and fresher than other roast ducks in the area. Good sauce. Prefer this to their Peking duck. Crispy salt and pepper fried shrimp. Good paired vegetables and size of shrimp. Char siu 蜜汁叉燒 tender yet lean. Light sauce and great texture. 腸粉 shrimp rice noodle rolls thicker than those in Guangdong but very soft and fresh. So tender that you need the spoon / spork to serve it. 蝦餃 nice overall. Generous amount of shrimp inside. Chicken dumplings nice “lighter” fare with distinct flavor, haven’t had this kind of flavor in a Chinese restaurant yet. Worth a try. 乾炒牛河 beef chow fun less oily and salty than usual around here. Less beef too. Still tasty with the hot sauce. Pork congee warms the soul.
